Sort the water.
Quiet the room.

TintTube — Water Sort Puzzle

Glass, wood, chrome, obsidian, ruby and gilded bottles — sixteen skins, each one a render of the same 3D model.

How to play

  1. Every tube holds up to four layers of coloured water.
  2. Tap a tube to lift it, then tap another to pour on top of it.
  3. A pour only lands if the colour on top matches, or the receiving tube is empty.
  4. You can never pour onto a full tube, and a tube that is already sealed locks itself.
  5. Win by gathering each colour into a single tube. Stars come from how few moves you used.

That is the whole game. Everything else — undo, shuffle, hint, the extra tube — is a way out of a corner you painted yourself into.

Three habits that fix most stuck boards

Uncover before you sort. A colour you cannot see yet is a move you cannot make yet, so chase the buried layers instead of tidying the top ones.

Keep your empty tubes scarce. An empty tube is a free square on a chess board — spend it to uncover something, not to park a colour you will just move back later.

Count to four before you commit. If a colour has two layers on top and one buried under another colour, that third layer decides which tube it belongs in.

What's inside

These are counts from the content files that ship in the installed app, not marketing numbers. Every board is generated, then proven solvable by the same solver that powers the hint button.

100

Checked boards

Every one solved before it shipped, with a difficulty that rises on purpose rather than by accident.

10

Chapters

First Pours, Mixed Signals, Narrow Shelf, Layered Colors, Color Storm, Mystery Row, Deep Tubes, Tight Space, The Alchemist, Master Bench.

12

Water colours

A palette wide enough that late boards stay unreadable at a glance — and narrow enough to name.

2

Side modes

Challenge and Time Attack, each with its own map, its own star count and its own record board.

15

Quests, five a day

A fresh slate each morning, drawn so the same day always gives the same five and no task repeats twice.

12

Events a year

Calendar windows with their own leaderboards, opening and closing on real dates.

30

Achievements

Each one tracks a number the game genuinely keeps — stars, perfect clears, streaks, side-mode records.

16

Bottle skins

Glass, wood, chrome, obsidian, ruby, gilded — each rendered from a real 3D model, not drawn flat.

The bottles

The tubes in TintTube are renders of one parametric 3D bottle — the same silhouette, re-shaded per skin — so a bottle keeps its shape and its lighting no matter which skin you buy. Four more of the sixteen:

Built for real hands and real commutes

Offline first

Your progress, coins, gems and inventory are written to the phone. On a plane, in a tunnel or with no SIM, the game does not notice the difference.

No account needed

There is no sign-up. Google Play Games is optional and stays off until you connect it from Settings, and disconnecting removes what it held.

Colourblind patterns

Turn it on and every liquid carries a distinct pattern as well as a colour, so a board never depends on hue alone.

Left-handed layout

The tool row and the board swap sides. Undo stays under the thumb you actually use.

Screens that fit

Small phones, tablets and foldables get a scaled board rather than a clipped one, and the tubes never sit under the buttons.

Ads you can leave

Adverts are optional. One purchase removes every ad we serve, and it is yours for as long as the app exists on your device.

About the developer

TintTube is made by MICROCMD, a small software studio in India that builds Android and iOS apps, and ships the games it would want to play itself.

This site is the developer website for that account. It carries the app's privacy policy, its terms of use, the support and data-deletion routes, and the app-ads.txt file that Google reads to confirm who is allowed to sell advertising in this app.

Questions, corrections or a board you think is unsolvable? Write to support@microcmd.com — or use the support page, which lists what usually fixes a problem in about a minute.

Frequently asked

Does TintTube need an internet connection?

No. The whole campaign, both side modes, quests, achievements and the shop all run offline. A connection is only used to fetch an advert, and you can remove adverts entirely.

Why can I not pour one colour onto another?

Two rules cover almost every case: the top layer of the receiving tube must match the colour you are pouring, and the tube must have a free layer. A sealed tube — four of the same colour — locks itself so you cannot spoil a finished stack.

Is a board ever unsolvable?

No board ships unsolved. Each one is generated and then run through the game's own solver; a board that the solver cannot finish is discarded before it reaches the build. If you find one that disagrees with that, mail us the level number and we will fix it.

How do I move my save to another phone?

Connect Google Play Games in Settings and the game keeps one copy of your progress there. Sign in with the same Play account on the new phone and it carries over. Without Play Games the save stays on the device it was made on.

What exactly do adverts look like here?

A banner on the home screen, an interstitial between levels, and rewarded adverts you choose to watch for a second chance, an extra hint or the daily spin. Nothing interrupts a pour, and no advert plays inside a level you are mid-move in.

Is this game for children?

It is rated for ages 3+ and plays like a puzzle a nine-year-old can follow, but it is not directed at children under 13 and its adverts are not configured for a child-directed audience. Purchases are gated behind the store's own controls.

How do I delete my data?

Settings > Delete my progress inside the app wipes every level, star, balance, owned item, streak and preference on the device at once, and overwrites the copy held in Google Play Games. Details are on the support page and in the privacy policy.
